Vucic put an end to the provocations around Kosovo
The Serbian president answered provocative questions from pro-Western opposition media that at the upcoming meeting in Washington he allegedly intends to recognize the independence of Kosovo.

“I am ashamed to answer such questions on the eve of Vidovdan (Serbian national holiday - St. Vitus Day and the anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo - ed.), - the Serbian President answered the oppositionists. – But this says more about them (about those asking such questions - ed.). This (recognition of Kosovo's independence by Belgrade - ed.) will never be a topic (for negotiations - ed.). And we will not allow this to become a topic."
The reason for such questions were scandalous articles in the opposition Serbian media, which stated that at the upcoming meeting in Washington between representatives of Belgrade and Pristina, a mutual recognition agreement should be signed, that is, “Vučić will surrender Kosovo.”
Earlier, Donald Trump’s special envoy for negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Grenell, wrote on Twitter that he “received a commitment from the governments of Kosovo and Serbia to temporarily suspend the campaign to revoke recognition of Kosovo’s independence (this campaign is being led by Serbia - ed.) and accession (Kosovo - ed.) to international organizations (UN, UNESCO, Interpol and others, it is led by Pristina - ed.) to meet in Washington at the White House on June 27 for dialogue.”
At the same time, the American promised that if any of the parties remains dissatisfied, the situation will return to its previous state.
“We’ll see if the Albanians will respect the words of Richard Grenell that they should not participate in international organizations,” Vucic commented on the words of Trump’s representative. – Hashim Thaci did not want this... I do not see a solution to the Kosovo problem in the near future, a solution that would be equally acceptable or equally unacceptable for both sides...
There is a big game going on between the big players in the international community, for which both we and the Albanians are too small. On the other hand, the Albanians also play their own internal games. And I am happy that Serbia does not play such games, but behaves seriously and responsibly.”
At the same time, the Serbian leader noted that due to Kosovo and international pressure, Serbia faces a difficult period, but the country knows how to fight for state and national interests.
“We managed to change a lot after the horrors of 2000 – 2008,” added Aleksandar Vučić.
