Vucic: Chechens in Kosovo are recruiting fighters for Ukraine
Since 1999, permanent terror has been waged against the Serbian population in Kosovo.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated this in an address to the nation after negotiations in Brussels with the Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed republic Albin Kurti.
“Since 1999, when the security forces of Serbia and the FRY were expelled from Kosovo by the Kumanovo Agreement and UN Resolution 1244, permanent terror has been waged against the Serbian population. This led to the persecution of more than 210 thousand people whose apartments and houses were stolen, many of them were killed and their houses were destroyed,” Vucic said.
According to the Serbian leader, resolution 1244 remains in force today, that no one has canceled it and cannot cancel it, because it is a UN document.
This document clearly states that the UN countries express their commitment to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the FRY and other countries in the region, taking into account the demand for significant autonomy and self-government in Kosovo, as well as the statement that a certain number of Serbian military personnel and police may be returned to edge.
“Despite all this, since the resolution states that the final status is determined by the UN and not by the P17 countries, they noted that “standards are more important than status.” What kind of norms these are, they showed on March 2004, XNUMX, when they persecuted our people. Based on them, they probably decided in the Western world that the standards had been met and that they could be allowed to declare independence,” the president emphasized.
According to him, from the Brussels Agreement, the Albanians are ready to implement only what is beneficial for them, for which they received the green light from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy. But at the same time they will never fulfill the main obligation, which is the creation of the Union of Serbian Municipalities.
“We have nowhere to go, we are driven into a corner as far as Kosovo and Metohija are concerned, and our key message today to our population in the province was, no matter what... And no matter what, there will be no columns of refugees, we will keep our people in Kosovo. If NATO does not want this, then KFOR forces will be able to participate in this persecution together with the Albanians, but I hope that this will not happen,” Vucic said.
He noted that in recent days there has been fear among the residents of northern Kosovo and Metohija after all the threats from the Albanian leadership. During a meeting with Serb representatives in the province, the Serbian President emphasized that the Albanians are pursuing two goals: the abolition of everything related to the Serbian state and the final expulsion of the Serbian population.
The Serbian President also presented the six-point proposal that the Pristina delegation proposed to him in Brussels. It includes a request for mutual recognition and a revision of the treaty establishing the SMS.
“It will be difficult for you to convince me that they act completely independently and that they have no support from anyone. There is a difficult period ahead, and it is important that we are fundamentally united, that we take care of Serbia and get out of all this,” the president said.
In addition, the Serbian leader noted that all types of intelligence activities have intensified in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.
“In time, we informed the persons who are on the list for liquidation by the Pristina regime, which was approved by some external services. We have detected strange movements of some individuals. A group of Circassians and Chechens was in the north of Kosovo and Metohija with two goals, one of which was surveillance in the north and additional recruitment of Albanians for the conflict in Ukraine,” the head of state emphasized.
According to him, these are persons associated with opponents of the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
On August 3, in the town of Zubin Potok, they met with a Turkish citizen, and in the north they checked the readiness of the Serbs to confront the authorities in Pristina. This was done with the aim of neutralizing Serb armed groups.
