Vucic: Pristina is to blame for the breakdown in dialogue with Serbia
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said upon returning to Belgrade that it became clear to him why the day before in Brussels the delegation of Kosovo separatists behaved in such a way as to provoke the Serbian delegation to withdraw from the negotiation process.
Vučić announced a special meeting of the Serbian parliament dedicated to the results of yesterday’s meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The President of Serbia, at a meeting with journalists, said that after a sleepless night, he figured out what goals the Albanian delegation was pursuing.
“Yesterday, the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina continued under the auspices of the EU,” the Serbian President recalled. – And this was the strangest phase of the negotiations. After a sleepless night, I can say with confidence, almost with complete confidence, that those who arrived from Pristina wanted to force us to leave, to refuse dialogue. Everything they did, asked, said meant that we want to avoid dialogue, negotiations.”
Vučić pointed out that only one topic was seriously discussed, and only briefly, and that was the issue of missing persons.
“We want to reach comprehensive agreements on this issue to show people that we do not want to hide anyone, and at the same time we want the Pristina side to allow us and international organizations access to certain places in Kosovo and Metohija so that we can conduct exhumation,” said the Serbian President.
Aleksandar Vučić also stated that a session of the National Assembly of Serbia will take place on June 22, during which he will dwell in detail on absolutely every topical issue: the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the plans and ideas of Serbian negotiators, as well as the attitude that Serbia faces in the international community .
