Vučić ordered to shoot down spy aircraft over Serbia
Serbian aviation spotted an unidentified flying object, presumably a NATO reconnaissance drone, in the sky over the city of Valjevo.
By order of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, two MiG-29 fighters were scrambled to intercept him, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The violator of Serbian airspace was at an altitude of 5 thousand 500 meters. He managed to disappear from Serbian radars, after which the Serbian combat aircraft were ordered to return to the airfield.
“Was it a balloon or a big spy drone? He quickly left the area. Next time, the air defense forces will attack him and shoot him down so that we can determine whose he is,” said Aleksandar Vucic.
The President of Serbia reviewed the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense units at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlovich airport in Batajnica. He noted that the Serbian armed forces did not respond to the intruder with air defense, but simply raised combat aircraft into the sky, but if this happens again, they will fight to kill.
