As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, during the conversation Aleksandar Vucic emphasized the importance of his upcoming visit to Moscow, given the reputation and influence of the Russian Federation and President Putin in the world political arena, as well as in light of global economic trends. Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, in turn, expressed confidence that the visit will be successful, like all previous ones, given the friendly relations and good cooperation between the two countries.

The interlocutors assessed that the upcoming visit of President Vučić is a continuation of the successful political dialogue between Serbia and Russia, which is becoming more intense year after year, and that it represents an expression of mutual desire for comprehensive progress in cooperation between the two countries

“President Vučić noted that President Putin understands Serbia’s position and once again expressed his gratitude for the support in the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, that is, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia,” the Serbian presidential administration said in a statement. “President Vucic and Ambassador Bocan-Harchenko discussed activities after the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of Russia and Serbia on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and the visit of Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Yuri Borisov.”

President Vučić stressed that the implementation of joint infrastructure and energy projects is being carried out in accordance with the established deadlines, and that in parallel the countries are working on other concrete proposals for closer cooperation in many areas of mutual interest.

In addition to bilateral relations, President Vučić and Ambassador Bocan-Harchenko also discussed current issues in the region and in the world.
