Vučić recovered to spite the Croats
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was this morning discharged from the Military Medical Academy, where he had been since Friday due to cardiovascular problems, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to doctors, the main cause of health problems is fatigue. Last week, the Serbian leader met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, spoke at the 40th General Conference of UNESCO, held a number of negotiations and participated in several events.
According to RTS, the health of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is now stable.
At the same time, Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar emphasized that President Aleksandar Vucic was diagnosed with minor chronic heart problems. Therefore, at the time of admission to the hospital, his health was in danger. Vučić responded well to the therapy prescribed to him.
However, doctors recommended that the Serbian President reduce his workload in the coming period in order to fully recover.
Adviser to the President of Serbia, Suzana Vasilievich, in an interview with TV Pink, told what was happening these days.
“Very difficult weekend for us. On Friday he asked to be taken to the hospital. He usually does not admit that he is sick. We were traveling with him with a high temperature, and suddenly he himself asked to be taken to the VMA, which shows how bad he was. He spent two days on the instruments. Today he is better and I hope that he will finally start listening to the advice of doctors and people who care for him,” the adviser said.
According to her, wishes for a speedy recovery were sent to the President of Serbia by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other leaders.
At the same time, residents of Croatia posted offensive posts on social networks, including wishes for death. Such comments appeared under reports about Vucic’s illness in the Croatian media.
A few days earlier, Vučić decided not to visit Zagreb, where he was invited to the electoral congress of the European People's Party (EPP), due to what he considered to be unhealthy public sentiment in that country.
