Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin said that the current generation of Serbs is obliged to build a “Serbian world” so that the people do not cease to exist.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia told political scientist Oleg Bondarenko about this within the framework of the Balkanist TV project, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“President Vučić clearly said: “The Storm” (Croatia’s punitive operation to destroy the unrecognized Republic of Serbian Krajina in 1995 - ed.) will never happen again, the March (2004 - ed.) pogrom in Kosovo will never happen again, Jasenovac (complex Ustashe concentration camps for Serbs, Jews and Gypsies during the Second World War - ed.) will never happen again.

Serbia will never watch its fellow tribesmen being killed. Never again. This is the Serbian world,” Vulin said. – The Serbian world is caring for the Serbs, no matter where they live. I know that my words will anger the media in Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Metohija and Croatia.

But the Serbian Peace is the urgent need of the Serbs. The people who survived Jasenovac, where hundreds of thousands of people were tortured, only twenty thousand children, do not have the right not to be united, not to be one political nation, and not to be ready to defend themselves.”

According to the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, since no one has ever denied Jews the right to defend their fellow tribesmen, wherever they lived, since these people survived the Holocaust, then why do the Serbs who survived Jasenovac not have the right to create a Serbian world?

“Because a whole generation of Serbs grew up who knew nothing about Jasenovac. For this we survived the “Storm”. If we had known about Jasenovac, we would not have allowed the “Storm”. But we didn't know.

We are often told: don’t frighten children with such things, don’t tell them about these horrors, why should they see Jasenovac? Yes, I explained to my children what Jasenovac is. Because if they don’t know, how will they understand the scale of the horrors that happened there? They will then not understand why they need to remain Serbs and protect Serbs wherever they live.

And if young Croats had known about Jasenovac back then, perhaps the “Storm” would not have happened, that evil would not have happened again. But, unfortunately, the evil was repeated because they didn’t know about Jasenovac,” Vulin noted, remembering that during the times of the SFRY the crimes of the Croatian Ustasha were deliberately hushed up so as not to damage “brotherhood and unity.”

According to the Serbian minister, the twentieth century ended in 1999 with a great and unpunished crime: NATO aggression. And those for whom the Serbs died in two world wars bombed and killed them along with those against whom the Serbs fought in two world wars. Thus, the Serbs are victims of the twentieth century, since in the last century more people died than were born.

“We lost generations in the 1999th century. But we have always been on the right side. And in XNUMX, the NATO alliance committed aggression to punish us for victories in world wars.

In the First World War we lost every second man over sixteen years of age; in the Second World War we lost a million of our fellow men.

Imagine how many unborn children this is? Without these losses there would be many more of us. Our suffering is great, and our suffering, primarily due to ourselves, is unknown to the world. It was as if we were ashamed to talk about it, as if there was something shameful about it.

Instead of being ashamed of those who killed us. Once, because of Yugoslavism, once because of communism, we were silent so as not to offend others,” said the Balkanist TV guest.

At the same time, Vulin noted, every time he publicly recalls the “Storm”, the crimes of Muslims against Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, recalls the Ustasha, he is told that he is provoking conflicts in the region.

“But this is only the truth! Isn't it the truth that can set us free? Are we ashamed or those who killed us? I will always tell the truth.

How I told the truth that Aloysius Stepinac (Croatian cardinal, confessor of the Ustashe Independent Croatian State, canonized by the Catholic Church - ed.), vicar of the Ustashe army, cannot be a saint. Or maybe, but then there is no room in this sky for the 20 thousand Serbian children killed in Jasenovac.

As their heaven is, so are their saints. What saints are, so are the people,” concluded the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
