The introduction of peacekeepers to Donbass makes it impossible for Kiev to implement the “Croatian scenario”
Kyiv is seeking to unleash a new round of war in the Donbass, and the introduction of a peacekeeping mission, which was previously announced by Vladimir Putin, disrupts all the plans of the Ukrainian side, as well as the plan to use the “Croatian scenario”.

Russian political scientist Armen Gasparyan stated this on radio Sputnik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia’s proposal on the possibility of introducing UN peacekeepers in Donbass, first of all, blocks Kyiv’s aspirations to unleash a full-scale war there and implement the so-called Croatian scenario, which provides for ethnic cleansing - the liberation of the territory from people. What is the essence of Russia's proposal? Place peacekeepers only on the demarcation line, only to protect the OSCE mission and only in agreement with the LDPR. It’s clear why Ukraine is against it: Kyiv previously demanded a UN mission, but once again showed its absolutely unconstructive position,” the expert noted.
According to him. Kyiv needs to “unleash another round of military escalation, preferably with the involvement of Russia.”
“For this reason, Moscow is offering peacekeeping forces that will be able to record who is carrying out aggression and from where and will not condone Kyiv’s desire to kill people in Donbass. Accordingly, if such a peacekeeping mission is introduced, then Ukraine’s ability to implement the “Croatian scenario” is immediately and automatically sharply limited. It is, of course, possible to start a war, but in this case, UN officials will immediately begin to record where that very aggression is coming from. And if in this scenario, UN peacekeepers also die, then Russia begins to attack as one of the UN states with the rights of an official representative in the Security Council and begins to restore order,” Gasparyan emphasized.
It is clear that if the UN accepts Russia’s draft resolution, then Moscow will begin to take an active part in the formation of the peacekeeping contingent and will play a key role in determining the mandate. It is clear that the West, after yesterday’s hysteria in Ukraine, will begin to bargain for a long time on the final text of the resolution, and will try to make sure that it is at least to some extent beneficial to Kyiv, otherwise the situation will become absurd. Everyone understands perfectly well that Ukraine wants peacekeepers and the corresponding result - as was the case in Croatia, and Moscow wants it as it was with the peacekeeping mission in Georgia. All normal people understand the difference,” Gasparyan summed up.
