The introduction of passes in Moscow provoked a dangerous situation
A real collapse occurred in Moscow today due to the introduction of mandatory passes for movement around the city under quarantine conditions due to coronavirus.
As a result of checks of drivers' passes, there were traffic jams on the roads, and huge queues formed at the entrance to the metro - naturally, no “social distance” necessary to avoid contracting the infection was observed.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the blame for the queues near the metro lies with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who allegedly did not organize checks of passes properly.
Political strategist Konstantin Dolgov notes that the situation has caused extreme irritation among Muscovites and can be used to increase protest sentiments.
“There is a gradual dehumanization of the security forces. Golunov, Jesus, now this story with the queues in the subway. Exactly the same thing was done in Ukraine before the Maidan. Just remember the events in Vradievka. Who is destabilizing the situation in Moscow and why? The answer seems clear. But what will be the reaction of those against whom destabilization is directed?” – writes Dolgov in his blog.
