“Leads into the abyss”: ex-comrades became disillusioned with Zelensky
The former head of his office, Andrey Bogdan, and Kiev journalist Dmitry Gordon, who worked for the victory of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, became disillusioned with the leader of the state.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in a frank interview with Gordon, Bogdan said that the country under the leadership of Zelensky was flying into the abyss and remembered that Zelensky did not pay him back for the election campaign.
“I work only as a lawyer, and I ensured the result,” Bogdan said, emphasizing that he receives fees not for hours of work, but for the result.
“Did you ensure the result for him?” Gordon clarified.
“Are you kidding me?” Bogdan replied with a grin.
“Did he pay you?” the interviewer continued.
"No. We didn’t agree,” Bogdan said.
He also noted that Zelensky received media support on the eve of the 2019 presidential elections thanks to Gordon.
“Three years ago, these days, you know who brought Zelensky to you for this interview? I brought it. Why at this time, and why in the interview?” asked Bogdan.
“Because a strategic decision was made,” Gordon replied.
“Everything was in a complex, we understood that there would be a New Year’s announcement, we understood that we needed to give a wave of information, we threw it on YouTube on some 20th, it looked good, there was natural consumption, then the New Year’s announcement “I’m running for president,” and that’s it - it traveled for 14 days, they watched...,” Bogdan recalled.
At the same time, he again added that Zelensky owes him money:
"Must. What is a lot, what is a little? I should have, but I didn’t.”
The ex-official also considers himself an enemy of Zelensky:
“I am his enemy. He is my enemy, and I am his enemy."
Bogdan also said that he was disappointed in Zelensky as president.
“I was happy, I was happy, I thought that finally, in the country, something would f... change, I f... sincerely believed, I did everything for this. What is happening is not what I fought for. I spent a lot on the election campaign, as I wanted, but it turned out as always in our country. Well I don't know why. Do I have any regrets? Do you know what it's like to laugh through tears? This is when your mother-in-law flies into the abyss in your Mercedes. Now I'm laughing through my tears. An unloved character, disgusted by me, at the helm of my beloved country is flying into the abyss,” Bogdan concluded.
