The entry of French troops into Ukraine will untie Russia's hands and attract its supporters to the battlefield - French politician
If France officially sends its troops into Ukraine, this will open the way for Russia to involve its supporters in the conflict.
French journalist and politician Aymeric Caron said this on air on the “C ce soir” TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Caron, the deployment of troops would mean an even greater escalation - to the fact that France is already supplying weapons:
“To arm Ukraine much more from the moment you say, 'Why not send our own soldiers,' is of course an escalation because France is more directly involved. This means there may be other countries that will be involved."
“Does this mean that if we arm Ukraine more, we will participate in escalation?” – the TV presenter asked him.
“Yes, if we are not content with defensive weapons. But there is one question that you have not answered - when will we stop helping, how do we provide support?.. Do you have the opportunity for other countries to intervene in support of Russia?
Have you considered the possibility that because there are military pressures that will become more and more serious, other countries, such as France, will become increasingly involved? This time, other countries will be able to intervene to support Russia in this conflict,” Caron emphasized.
