The Russian Air Force alerted Crocodiles and Terminators over Western Siberia
In Western Siberia, the crews of more than 30 combat helicopters were scrambled into the sky as part of a large-scale exercise that began in Western Siberia.
“Pilots of the Mi-24 “Crocodile” attack helicopters, the Mi-8AMTSh “Terminator” transport and combat helicopters and the engineering and technical staff of the squadrons will work out the issues of building up duty forces, flying to operational airfields in the Novosibirsk and Kemerovo regions to remove aircraft from a conditional attack enemy.
According to the plan of the exercise, the pilots will support from the air a group of troops (forces) during various operations. The crews will practice elements of air combat, perform reconnaissance tasks, and also conduct firing using missiles and small arms and cannon weapons,” the press center writes.
The maneuvers will last until the end of the week and involve more than 500 military personnel.
