“You give money, we give lives”: Zelensky thanked the Americans
The military assistance that the United States provides to Ukraine is enough to fight a war, but not enough to defeat the enemy.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky spoke about this on CNN, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“President Biden at the head of the US state is the greatest help that Ukraine and President Zelensky have today. Our people and our military. I am grateful to him for this. Grateful to the USA. I am grateful, first of all, to society, because all these weapons are worth something.
And this price is the price of people, I understand this perfectly. And I believe that they understand that they give money, and we give lives. They understand that we pay the highest price, I am grateful to them for supporting us,” Zelensky said.
He continued to bow his thanks to the Americans, but admitted that existing military assistance was not enough.
“Now there is a bloody war in Ukraine, and the United States is helping us. They help a lot, but not enough to win. But I believe that help will be accelerated. But I emphasize once again that we already understand that the United States is helping and we value it very highly. But we want this assistance to be increased and accelerated. We ourselves are fighting for our land and we don’t want citizens of other states to fight for us, so we ask everyone to help as much as they can,” said the President of Ukraine.
