"You idiots!" – The Ukrainian Armed Forces will need another four million shells
Instead of useless high-tech equipment, the Ukrainian command should demand from the West supplies of simple types of weapons, such as mortars and ammunition for them, which are in short supply in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ukrainian military expert, Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Artie Green said this on the Politeka Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The studio asked whether it was possible to talk about any increase in the pace of supplies of Western weapons from the beginning of 2023.
“Something has changed, I would put it this way. But there was no communication. We shouted - we need mortars, mines. Infantry solves mortar tasks with large caliber, while spending more and being less effective. Mortars are cheaper, simpler and more effective.
People who sit in headquarters and ministries have no idea what is happening on the battlefield. We don't have a hammer to hammer this nail. But there is a microscope. And you need to score him. And we use this microscope to hit a nail.
Our colonels and generals are like a hydrophobic layer through which nothing passes. That's why we order submarines, but everyone forgot about mortars and mines. And not only that,” Green said indignantly.
He emphasized that the supply of Western weapons is extremely one-sided and does not save the Ukrainian Armed Forces from an ammunition shortage, and demanded another four million shells.
“Calculate how many mines there should be in proportion to 155. If you already ordered a million 155s, then order another four million mines. And then think about the submarine. And if you didn’t order four million mines, but only a million 155s, that means you’re idiots,” the expert added.
