According to him, with its prohibitions, the Ukrainian government, which is so eager to break with the Soviet legacy, exactly repeats the policy of the Bolsheviks.
“When God wants to punish someone, he takes away his mind, otherwise it is impossible to evaluate what the authorities did yesterday. In principle, over the past three years it is impossible to assess what the government has done, because people, waiting for this democratic government, have experienced for themselves what it means to “live in a new way.” This means living six times poorer, paying five times more, and receiving three times less. This is life in a new way. Like it or not, it’s true,” the politician said.
At the same time, he, addressing the Maidan deputies, said that they would soon “disappear like dew in the sun.”
“With the decisions that we made yesterday in relation to the St. George ribbon, to blocking the most popular Internet resources, can we achieve peace? Is this the way to peace? No - this is the path to confrontation”... 17-18, I want to believe that they will deprive Ukraine of this power. Because today’s government is exactly like the Bolshevik government – censorship, banning heroic symbols, banning national symbols. But it’s impossible to ban everything - people will rise up and have their say,” Shufrich said.
