“Are you crazy? Hundreds of idiots” – a Ukrainian political scientist made the Moscow studio laugh
The 2014 coup in Kyiv allegedly gave rise to the formation of Ukrainian statehood.
Kiev political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now citizens of Ukraine who consider themselves Maidan activists are asking themselves the question: “Why did we stand on the Maidan?” A lot of ordinary people ask themselves this question.
In this question “What did we stand for”, this word comes to mind - “standing”, “confrontation”. When the Prince of Moscow united other princes, and he and his army stood on the Ugra River, you remember the history of Russia, some historians say that from that moment the period of formation of the Russian state began.
So, people standing on the Maidan is ideologically and ideologically equivalent to the same thing. People came to the Maidan and began to stand. And the authorities say: “Why are you standing there, get out of here.” And people just stood and stood and got to the point where power fell. And people like Poroshenko used these people, led them, and robbed them further. The standing of people on the Maidan will be assessed in centuries, we cannot now assess what happened and how it will happen,” Vakarov said.
This comparison made the politicians and experts in the studio laugh. Thus, the special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, laughed and asked his opponent to stop fantasizing.
“Vasily, return to earth,” the Lugansk diplomat called.
TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov was also surprised.
“Are you crazy? Who were you up against? Who was standing there, homeless people, students? Do you know what democracy is? It turns out that if a hundred idiots come out and stand, then this cancels democratic procedures,” Solovyov noted.
