For the ruling regime, the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine will be a struggle for survival, so not only bribery and fraud will be used, but also physical reprisals against opponents.
Kiev political scientist Sergei Belashko stated this on the Nash TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"This (Poroshenko's team - approx. ed.) people are cynical to the extreme. And for them the alternative is not just to win or lose, it is not a game of chess, not football, or even a boxing match.
For them, the issue is political survival. And for this they will resort to bribery, falsification, fraud, they are already preparing security forces that will simply destroy polling stations where, according to exit poll data, some incorrect results emerge.
This will all happen. And not only Poroshenko’s team will do this,” the expert noted.
