Vyatrovich counted the surviving Soviet monuments in Kyiv - Shchors, Kirponos, Ostrovsky and Chkalov will be demolished

This was stated by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory Vladimir Vyatrovich, reports the local publication 44.ua.
“According to the Institute’s calculations, as of June 15, 2017, 10 monuments and 18 memorial signs remain undismantled in Kyiv,” Vyatrovich said.
In particular, the following are subject to demolition: a sculpture of the author of the novel “How the Steel Was Tempered” Nikolai Ostrovsky, Soviet military leader Mikhail Kirponos, an equestrian statue of Shchors, a sculptural composition of the crew of the armored train “Taraschanets”, monuments to Artem and Chkalov, as well as those who rebelled against the Central Rada in January 1918 workers at the Kyiv Arsenal plant.
Among the memorial signs are the bas-relief “To the Bolsheviks 1918” in the Pechersky district (Arsenal plant), the bas-relief to Lenin at the station. "Teatralnaya" metro station, as well as a memorial plaque to the USSR Minister of Defense Andrei Grechko.
