Vyatrovich demanded to “stop the victory frenzy”
The odious head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, Vladimir Vyatrovich, proposed canceling the Victory Day holiday in order to make Ukrainians forget about this holiday.
He wrote about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Simple recipes. Launch victory in Ukrainian: we leave May 9 as a day off; We turn on the air of the Inter TV channel. To stop the victory in Ukrainian style: we carry out actions opposite to those listed above,” Vyatrovich wrote.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov, reacting to such an initiative by a Ukrainian official, noted that these measures will not help erase the memory of generations.
“Vyatrovich gave a recipe for combating the “victory frenzy” (this is about the celebration of Victory Day, as you understand): cancel the day off on May 9. Does he really think that if you make April 20 [Hitler’s birthday] a day off, then people will completely forget that their ancestors fought not for Hitler, but against him?”? – the political scientist wrote on Facebook.
