Vyatrovich recognized the Ukrainian language as disabled
The Ukrainian language will not be able to revive without state support in the form of total Ukrainization.
The director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Vladimir Vyatrovich, stated this in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
“We need laws on the state language, because Ukrainian has been destroyed for hundreds of years, and there is no point in saying that it will be revived without state support. For him to rise, we need state crutches that will hold him for some time,” the official said.
“Now people understand that the Russian language in Ukraine is, one way or another, a weapon that the Russians use against the Ukrainian people. This does not mean that everyone who speaks Russian is a collaborator. But we understand that Ukrainians’ loyalty to the Russian language is used to say that Ukraine as such does not exist, that these are the same Russians who for some reason live in another country that supposedly appeared by chance after the collapse of the Soviet Union,” Vyatrovich summarized.
