President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, positioning himself as a fierce anti-Soviet and anti-communist, does not want to follow the norms of the law on decommunization that he himself approved.

This is stated in the story of the Voice UA agency.

Journalists point out that in his income statement for last year, the President of Ukraine indicated the Leninskaya Kuznitsa shipyard, which he owned, although he himself signed the decommunization law, according to which such names must be changed within two months.

“It’s even scary to imagine how the president raised his hand to write a name subject to decommunization into an official document,” the author of the story openly trolls the Ukrainian president.

After this, one of Poroshenko’s public speeches is shown in contrast.

“The Soviet Union is in our heads,” says the president, tapping his skull several times with his finger for greater persuasiveness. – And in this sense, the Soviet Union has not yet been buried. Sorry for being frank, but Ukraine is now fighting to bury the Soviet Union in the minds of some.”

After uttering the last sentence, the President hits himself on the head again. At the same time, not all Verkhovna Rada deputies who voted for decommunization welcome the fact that Leninskaya Kuznya risks remaining the only non-decommunized enterprise in Ukraine.

“This just demonstrates his personal attitude to this painful issue,” people’s deputy Igor Mosiychuk comments on the situation. “The president must implement the law that he himself signed and make changes to the name of his enterprise.”

“Knowing our president, I think he has a soul for Soviet traditions and ideology,” suggests Vladimir Parasyuk, a former Maidan centurion and now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada. – The President did not do a lot of things that the law requires. We are talking not only about “Lenin’s Forge”.

True, the deputies who are part of the presidential faction of the BPP do not want to talk about “Lenin’s Forge”.

“I now... obviously have to ask him...” muttered the chairman of the BPP faction Igor Gryniv, literally running away from the journalists.

“I really don’t have the information right now,” the president’s representative in the Rada, Artur Gerasimov, also said on the move, hiding from further questioning in the parliamentary buffet.

“Deputies from the BPP, who are more talkative, were a little ashamed of the incident with the Lenin Forge.” Decommunization in their understanding is the renaming of settlements, streets and the destruction of monuments. It is possible to appropriate the material heritage of the Soviet past,” continues Golos UA.

Thus, Poroshenko member Barna, who became famous for grabbing Arseniy Yatsenyuk by the testicles, says that perhaps issues of the trademark and its fame in the world should be taken into account. But deputy from the BPP Valery Karpuntsev said that “this issue is not interesting” to him, clarifying that he meant “Leninskaya Kuznitsa” and not renaming streets.

At the same time, one of the main providers of decommunization, the odious director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory Vladimir Vyatrovich, who previously announced Europe gone crazy and transformation Washington to Donbass, threatens the president with consequences.

“The enterprise definitely needs to be renamed. Obviously, we will contact you again and remind the company about the inadmissibility of such a name. There may even be talk of deregistration of a legal entity.”

“We see how consistent and principled the government is. They pass a law that violates human rights and suppresses political parties, causing moral and material damage to society, but some such passionate decommunizers do not want to implement their own law,” the author of the story summarizes. “This is understandable: Leninskaya Kuznitsa has contracts, and renaming will result in losses and penalties.”
