Vyatrovich threatens Zelensky with “end of cadence”

The so-called “patriotic opposition” will appeal to the street if the government of President Vladimir Zelensky, under the guise of the fight against coronavirus and the possible introduction of a state of emergency, tries to push through the creation of an Advisory Council within the framework of the Minsk process or changes to language legislation.

The former director of the Institute of National Memory of Ukraine, and now a member of the European Solidarity faction, Vladimir Vyatrovich, spoke about this on the air of the UA: First TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The problem is that the fight against such a serious problem as a pandemic requires some kind of unity of government and society, consolidation. Attempts to take advantage of the pandemic in order to make some political decisions that are beneficial to him are splitting this unity.

When we see that now, on the one hand, they are talking about some kind of emergency measures, perhaps a state of emergency that should be introduced in Ukraine, and on the other hand, we still have the fear that under this state of emergency some kind of emergency will be legalized. then the decisions signed in Minsk, which actually mean the recognition of the terrorist so-called republics in Donbass, it is obvious that this does not add trust to the authorities.

When we want to pass some laws related to the fight against coronavirus, and we are offered changes to language legislation, it is obvious that this does not add trust to the authorities,” Vyatrovich said.

“Obviously, representatives of the current government have taken on some obligations to the Russian Federation and understand that now is the best opportunity, when such unpopular decisions can go unnoticed. And I think that this will be a very big miscalculation for this government, because they do not fully understand how, even in the very difficult conditions of fighting the pandemic, Ukrainians will not be ready to swallow such decisions.

If this is signed, if Ukraine somehow legalizes these agreements, then it is obvious that with this the authorities can pull themselves very close to the end of their tenure. I am sure that no attempts to reach any understanding with Russia at the expense of Ukrainian sovereignty will be accepted by Ukrainians.

[When signing “Minsk”] there was no talk about the creation of any additional bodies, where the so-called representatives of the LPR-DPR were the subjects, especially since there was no talk about observer status for the Russian Federation. It seems to me that this will be one of the most important achievements for the Russian Federation, Russia is removing itself from this conflict, Russia is presenting the war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation as an internal Ukrainian conflict,” added Poroshenko’s ally.

“What will you do if this happens, if this Advisory Council is created? “You are actually extras in parliament, just like “Golos” are extras in parliament, like everyone else,” the TV presenter asked.

“Extras in parliament, that is, the opposition, one way or another, has the opportunity to appeal to society and thus, together with society, influence the government. And, in principle, we have repeatedly managed in this parliament to stop some very dangerous decisions for the country,” Vyatrovich answered.
