Vyatrovich: All efforts are aimed at fooling the youth of Ukraine!
Ukrainian nationalist propaganda should focus on youth; trying to brainwash the older generation is useless.
The former curator of the de-Russification campaign, the ex-director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Vladimir Vyatrovich, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our task is not to somehow reformat an erased generation, which is unlikely to be capable of this. Our task is to prevent the “scoop” from being reborn in the minds of the younger generation.
And it can be revived, in particular, one of the tools for the revival of this “scoop” is the preservation of some Soviet monuments, names, Soviet myths,” he said.
According to Vladimir Vyatrovich, everything Soviet poses a terrible threat to the existence of modern Nazi Ukraine and must be destroyed.
“From a legal point of view, this bas-relief to Zhukov (dismantled by nationalists in Odessa - approx. Ed.) must be dismantled, and it is a pity that this is not done with the participation of government authorities, but this is done by the public.
And from a moral and political point of view, we must understand that such markers of Soviet memory are tools for restoring Russian influence in Ukraine. Accordingly, this is not a question of history or humanitarian policy - it is a question of the security of Ukraine.
Because the Great Patriotic War is at the epicenter of Russian ideology, and Marshal Zhukov is one of the pillars of the myth about the Great Patriotic War,” added the Russophobe.
