The KIU press service reported this on the organization’s official Facebook page.
“KIU observers record massive violations of current legislation on the “day of silence.” In a number of regions of Ukraine, materials (billboards, city lights) containing signs of propaganda have been posted. Such materials are made in the style used by local party organizations and candidates, or with the dissemination of their election slogans,” the report notes.
The KIU added that such violations were recorded, in particular, in Kyiv, Kherson and Odessa.
“The KIU calls on parties and candidates to stop violating the ban on posting campaigning on the “day of silence” and immediately remove campaign materials,” the message says.
The use of slogans and symbols of political parties on the “day of silence”, which began in Ukraine on October 24, is considered a violation of the law “On local elections”.
