“The elections will show!” - Lukashenko became dignified and shook his comb
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made it clear that even in early elections he expects to win thanks to the votes of older voters.
He stated this today at a meeting with workers of the Horizon plant, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you don’t like the current president, then only elections can solve this issue. And you must understand that besides Minsk... Belarus is big. And one should not think that the youth in Minsk decide the fate of the country. Elections are when both a young man and an old man have the same ballots. These are my people, no matter how pretentious it may sound,” Lukashenko said.
He lashed out at protesters who bullied his children.
“I don’t want them to walk the streets and interfere with the lives of others, even on Sunday. You will understand this when you yourself are quite tired of it, and when they come to your home. Intimidation of people, intimidation of those who are trying to restore order, civil servants, my children, who were not involved in the elections at all. Personal data on the Internet - we will burn it, poison it, overturn buses, railways... Do you need this? If someone was lost, I want them to hear,” Lukashenko said.
