The social and political situation that currently exists in Ukraine does not imply the holding of fair elections.

Ukrainian sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“Forget about elections. The main achievements of recent years: the militarization of the country and the abolition of all democratic procedures and functions. The risk of renewed fighting has never been greater. There is pressure from the West. The level of social optimism in Ukraine is the lowest in the world. The income level of the population is below 2013. The crime rate is off the charts. In these conditions, no one can win on white,” Kopatko said.

He also proposed holding presidential elections in Ukraine “in two leagues.”

“In the first, let singers and artists perform - Bobul, Zelensky, Vakarchuk, in the second - politicians. And then let the winners fight among themselves,” the expert suggested.
