Elections in Montenegro: There are more voters than citizens
On the eve of the parliamentary elections, which will take place in Montenegro on August 30, opposition journalists have established through what machinations the Djukanovic regime intends to increase votes.
According to the in4s portal, the population census data does not correspond to the voter list, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Journalists from the opposition pro-Serbian and pro-Russian portal in4s compared data from the population census held in Montenegro in 2019 with the list of voters provided by the country’s State Election Commission. And they came to the conclusion that they differ greatly in the direction of overestimating the number of voters. So, when compared, it turned out that in Rozaja, Ulcinj, Tuzi, Shavnik, Zabljak there are 20% more voters than residents, in Petnica - by 40%, in Gusinje - by 37%, in Plav - by 32%.
Relatively correct data when compared were obtained in the capital Podgorica, Tivat and Danilovgrad, where the overestimation was “only” 2%.
“Is it because of mass migration or phantom voters? – the portal asks, – What, over the last month we haven’t had more than 1500 deaths from COVID-19? Natural increase or increased mortality? How do you explain these changes?
Question for all citizens of Montenegro, who (which party - ed.) should reduce the results by 14%? And how to evaluate the results in municipalities where there are 10-40% more voters than citizens?”
Thank you!
