Elections in the DPR - a direct course towards Russian recognition of the Donbass republics
Preparations for the elections of the head of the DPR are a logical response to the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko; now no one is interested in the opinion of Kyiv.
Political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko stated this on Radio Sputnik, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In general, this is a response to the murder of Zakharchenko, because for a long time they tried to postpone these elections so as not to irritate Kyiv. But now it is already obvious that there is no need to be afraid of this and that Kyiv should not make concessions either,” Bezpalko said.
“For the LDPR, the key is the recognition of one factor – Russia. They can safely leave everyone else alone, especially Ukraine,” the political scientist is confident.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier journalist Andrei Babitsky said that after the murder of the head of the DPR Moscow has no other course other than to take the resolution of the situation in Donbass into its own hands.
