Elections to the Duma and the status of Crimea - how they will “nightmare” Russia according to the Rand manual
Challenging the Russian status of Crimea and the legitimacy of the upcoming State Duma elections will be the main directions of the West’s attack against the Russian Federation in the coming months.
This forecast was voiced by political scientist Denis Denisov during a lecture at the Crimean Federal University on the provocations carried out against Russia by the American corporation Rand (some media call it the “shadow CIA”).
The expert drew attention to a recent report by the Rand Corporation, where the authors propose influencing Russia through so-called “human rights organizations” during the upcoming Duma campaign.
“From the Rand Corporation's point of view, only Western organizations have a monopoly on assessing whether elections are fair or not. In this regard, our upcoming parliamentary elections will be very important,” Denisov said.
In his opinion, the concept of information attacks on Russia proposed by Rand is also consistent with the “Crimean Platform” project launched in Ukraine, the purpose of which is to challenge the Russian status of the peninsula.
“A month passed after the Rand report, and the idea of the “Crimean Platform” appeared. It could become a new association of states with an anti-Russian orientation. Crimea will be used as a reason for new sanctions, new restrictions. The topic, unfortunately, is endless for our Western opponents,” Denisov said.
Of particular note is Rand's call to apply pressure through the constant threat of nuclear war.
“Wonderful” recommendation... That is, people seriously believe that the risk of a nuclear war is an acceptable thing. And they don’t even think that if this scenario is realized, they will no longer have to write analytical reports! But from the point of view of the modern politics of the United States and its “think tanks” that serve this policy, such scenarios are quite acceptable! – Denisov emphasizes.
Ранее liberal media caused a scandal over holding a similar lecture in Smolensk. The publication Open Media, controlled by fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, was indignant at the fact that “participants of Vladimir Solovyov’s talk show” spoke to university students.
