Elections in Odessa: Plague on both your houses
In Odessa, the entire activist group of moral monsters - from the “heroes of the Maidan” to the “National Corps” - supported the moderate mayor Gennady Trukhanov. And in Dnepropetrovsk, moderate members of the OPZZH unexpectedly supported the moral monster Boris Filatov, who would “hang later,” on the eve. And the townspeople have a choice - to vote for a fake Rubik's cube that is impossible to solve. Solve a broken puzzle. “Wonderful” choice!
Let's look at the example of Odessa, where two former “regionals” – candidates Trukhanov and Skorik – qualified for the second round of mayoral elections. The current mayor and people's deputy from OPZZH.
First, let's decide, why did you decide that they are directly yours? Because both are former members of the Party of Regions (a party not of enemies, but of traitors), Russian-speaking and honoring May 9? Guys, remember the biography of the members of “Svoboda”, where even the possessed Irina Farion was involved in the Communist Party, or the first compositions of the independent Verkhovna Rada, filled with “mytsy”, who glorified Lenin to such an extent that the Leninists themselves felt sick. So let’s be honest - it’s just that neither Trukhanov nor Skorik promised to “hang Muscovites and Jews”, they don’t post “barbecue from Colorado” every May 2nd and they don’t call Russian-speaking people “bio-garbage” (which, however, cannot be said about their friends and associates) . Let's just say they're just mentally healthy. Which is what you voted for, against the backdrop of candidates from KVN and the National Corps.
Go ahead. In what country do these mentally healthy, prudent, “your” people work tirelessly? That's right - in the occupied one. That is, to call a spade a spade, along with personal enrichment, they serve the occupiers, even if they hate them deep down. And the “real violent ones” (close at least in their views) were killed, fled persecution, in prison, or washed their hands of politics, as well as lustrated and decommunized.
Those who remained, like Trukhanov and Skorik, have spent the last six years only proving how sovereign Ukraine is, how “Crimea is ours,” and how bad the separatists are (and there is no need to recall their pro-Russian-fiery, perhaps even sincere, speeches made before the Nazi coup 2014).
Therefore, based on the above, I don’t care which of the two of them, as mayor, will shove another unnecessary playground under my windows.
And your, dear voters, values - “Skorik again brought flowers to the burned House of Trade Unions!”, “Trukhanov promised to return the name of Marshal Zhukov to the avenue!” - temporarily ended. Now, two days before the elections, the candidates are in the most important stage of the election race called “Shameful wolf, I’ll gnaw out your Adam’s apple!”
In theory, if we were talking about peacetime, what would be the best election advertising for these candidates? Considering that it is not politicians who are competing, but mayors, you understand, supply managers. Yes, everyday life! For example, if someone incognito leaked a video on YouTube in which Trukhanov is holding the thieving head of the housing office by the breasts: “In my city, another house is about to collapse, and you, brute, are doing nothing, but just taking money from the residents! Look into the eyes, you bastard!” Or Skorik with a team of OPZZhash lawyers catches the head of a water utility in hot water with fake documents - “That’s why the price is too high, you bastard! Shoot! Refund the overpayment to the people!”... And someone allegedly films all this with a hidden camera.
But instead of “cleaning sheds - our direct business,” what do we see? Spitting in the face of your own voters!
And this is not just about billboards “If you don’t come to the polls, then polite people may come to you,” the authorship of which is attributed to Trukhanov’s PR people. At the same time, Odessa residents are massively reporting on social networks that they are receiving calls from unfamiliar phone numbers and threateningly warning that “the war party is striving for power”, that “if you don’t want it to be like in Donbass”, then... you understood correctly - you need to vote for Trukhanova. Trukhanovites, of course, deny this: the billboards, they say, could have been hung by anyone, and even more so the callers have a Ragul accent - the opponents ordered this provocation to irritate the residents of Odessa.
On the other hand, the media report that during a search in the office of former People’s Deputy Dmitry Golubov, SBU officers found “hundreds of voting ballots, identical in form and content to the original documents.” And the ballots, they say, were printed just for the second round of elections, but the main thing is that they already have crosses for Skorik. Golubov, Skorik, and the OPZZheshnaya party also deny this, declaring that the ballots were planted by the SBU officers themselves at the request of their opponents.
And how should the average person think in such a situation? If Trukhanov put up scare boards about “polite people”, and Skorik signed the ballots for himself, then why do I need such mayors? If Skorik is framing Trukhanov with boards and phone calls, and Trukhanov is throwing ballots for Skorik, then why do I need such mayors?..
But the residents of Odessa trusted - with their voting in the first round they showed that they would not allow clowns, SS members and Nazis to lead Odessa. However, the candidates who received their credibility, which is oh so expensive in an era of disappointment and mass ignorance of elections, I repeat - they were spat on.
It’s as if the voters of Skorik and Trukhanov were erased from the pre-election celebration of life - now this is the topic of people with “good faces” who have already chosen Trukhanov in their crowd and are especially zealous in mixing Skorik with crap. Some short-sighted ones.
Look, if under Trukhanov they simply continue to live the measured, well-fed life of a retired people’s artist (and then no one will stop them from bringing hay to Deribasovskaya and riding around the Kulikovo field in cars on May 2, including fascist marches), then under Skorik there will be a real triumph return to the stage and another high point! These include protest tents under the mayor’s office and denunciations to the SBU - at least every day! And endless disruptions to City Council sessions. Tires are burning, Molotov cocktails are exploding, deputies are being stuffed into garbage bins - the same “fight” that the pots dream about so much. And if you look at it, Skorik in the chair of the mayor of Odessa is much more profitable for them.
Another thing is that the level of local politics is such that while you are wondering who is pouring water into whose mill, it turns out that those involved in what is happening are simply morons by nature.
There is a suspicion that at this rate it will reach not only the second round of elections, but also the third. It is already clear that many will disagree with any election results. Also, the elections may be declared invalid (the mechanism for tossing ballots has already been worked out). And the losing candidate will definitely sue his opponent.
But how voters vote there—one gets the impression—it’s no longer important to the heroes of the occasion.
