According to the public relations sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Cherkasy region, on September 25, during an extraordinary session of the Cherkasy regional council, public activists pushed two deputies of the regional council into a trash can. Based on this fact, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Cherkasy region on September 25 opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 296 Criminal Code (hooliganism).
At this time, police officers are studying material evidence and video recordings seized from the scene of the event.
The full circle of persons involved in the commission of this criminal offense is established. The sanction of this article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of freedom for a term of up to 5 years or imprisonment for a term of up to 4 years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
