Militias extradited by Russia received four years in prison
In Kazakhstan, a court in the city of Kostanay sentenced militiaman Yevgeny Shcherbak to four and a half years in prison.
State Duma deputy Sergei Shargunov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Shargunov, Shcherbak paid for the fact that he decided to stand up for the Russian-speaking population of Donbass, and Russia itself extradited him to Kazakhstan, of which he is a citizen.
“Today the court of the city of Kostanay (Kustanay, Nikolaevsk...) sentenced the Russian man Zhenya Shcherbak to 4 and a half years in prison. Let me remind you: the guy went as a militia to Donbass, where he miraculously survived. From Russia, which lured him to war with all the brilliance and noise of its television screens, Evgeniy was extradited to Kazakhstan.
Although he begged for asylum.
And of course, no one was concerned about the further fate of the devotee. I had to pay the lawyer in full. If there had been a “public defender”, it would have been worse. They could have given 9 years. So the family is happy even with this verdict,” Shargunov wrote.
Militiaman Yevgeny Shcherbak, who fought in the Donbass in the Sparta battalion, despite the threat of criminal prosecution in his homeland for “mercenarism”, extradited to Kazakh authorities for violation migration legislation of the Russian Federation.
