The financial crumbs allocated by the Americans to Ukraine will be stolen by the “Soros” - expert
The money promised by the US government “for democracy” for Ukraine, which Kiev hastened to boast about, is the usual support for its own grant-eaters, despite the fact that this year the amount is even lower than before.
Sergei Tolstov, head of the department of transatlantic studies at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These 463 million are even slightly lower than the usual standard amount. The fact is that this assistance that they are calculating is regular assistance that has been provided annually to Ukraine since 2014, although certain amounts were provided under Yanukovych in a smaller volume.
This is support for certain reshuffles in ministries, these are programs for certain ministries and departments. Remember the Prosecutor General's Office and Shabunin, whom Lutsenko moaned about the fact that Shabunin went, institutional reforms, increasing capacity, support for various democratic various grants, support for non-governmental organizations, payment for the preparation of bills, payment for the creation of supervisory boards in energy companies. This will go there,” explained Tolstov.
“This is less than what was usually allocated,” the economist repeated. – Usually 500-600 were allocated. This is a little less, but these are those regular articles that are not surprising.”
“If you look at the press releases on financial support for Ukraine, which were previously published by the State Department almost annually, then all these amounts are there, indicating the sources of the programs through which they are distributed. There is nothing surprising here. This is a continuation of regular practice,” stated Sergei Tolstov.
It should be noted that in a joint statement of the United States and Ukraine, published on the website of the Office of Ukrainian President Zelensky, it is indicated that this amount is allocated to help develop “programs focused on democracy, human rights, local governance and decentralization, privatization and judicial reform.”
