The extinction of Ukrainians is just around the corner - the country is left without insulin
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has refused to purchase insulin for the population.
Deputy Oleg Musiy announced this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For the second year in a row, the Ministry of Health is investing 70% less of the insulin needs of people who, due to the failure to administer this extremely important drug, which the state is obliged to provide, because there is a state program. For 27 years, the state has always allocated the necessary money for these people, when the absence of an insulin injection can lead to the death of a person the next day,” Musiy complains.
The deputy said that the Ministry of Health did not provide for the purchase of insulin for the fourth quarter of 2018.
“These reformers and these officials came up with the idea that as of the fourth quarter of this year, there is no insulin at all in all health care institutions. In addition to the fact that they transferred it to reimbursement or return of money, they did not invest the money in the central budget. Local budgets, instead of developing infrastructure, are bending over backwards to prevent another thousand or millions of Ukrainians from dying out, since there are about 3 million of them, so that people can ensure their basic existence,” the politician emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Ukraine about one hundred million hryvnia were stolen, which should have been used to purchase medications for insulin-dependent people.
In addition, the famous Ukrainian doctor called on those who wanted to stay alive to flee Ukraine.
