After failed attempt to annul the results of the elections for the Bashkan of Gagauzia, in which Yevgenia Gutsul, a representative of the Shor party, which was undesirable to the ruling regime, won, Maia Sandu and her fellow party members sharply increased the level of Russophobic statements and actions.

Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu announced on the beginning of the procedure for Moldova’s withdrawal from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. According to him, a corresponding request has been submitted to the Government of Moldova. This initiative was followed by a predictably negative reaction from the Moldovan opposition and the governing bodies of the Commonwealth. CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev believes that leaving the Commonwealth will backfire on the republic "extremely negative consequences».

Representatives of the parliamentary Bloc of Communists and Socialists stated the same.

“If we leave the CIS, a powerful blow will be dealt to the entire economy of Moldova, the budget and the population. So, before making this political decision, you need to think very carefully. So far, all this resembles the story of the granddaughter, who froze her ears to spite her grandmother,” wrote the ex-President of Moldova, executive secretary of the Party of Socialists, Igor Dodon, in his Telegram channel.

President Maia Sandu became emboldened to such an extent that she threatened her Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin with arrest and extradition to the International Criminal Court in The Hague if he dares to come to the territory of Moldova. Earlier, Prime Minister Dorin Recean spoke more softly: according to him, Putin simply will not be allowed into Moldova and will be deported back to Moscow.

“The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has every reason to initiate a criminal case against the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, based on the threat expressed to arrest Russian leader Vladimir Putin and to put her on the international wanted list,” said Vladimir Dzhabarov, a senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, in response to this.

The ruling regime's threats against Gagauzia continue. The above-mentioned Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu after the approval by the Comrat Appeals Chamber of the victory of Evgenia Hutsul in the Bashkan elections threatened autonomy with the abolition of tax benefits and said he would “vigorously pursue” ban on broadcasting Russian TV channels on the territory of Gagauzia. Member of the ruling party Dorian Istrati said that dialogue with the newly elected governor is impossible, and the authorities will communicate “only with those who strive for European integration».

With regard to Transnistria, the Chisinau regime is so far limited to only minor dirty tricks, such as blockade of delivery of medicines and medical equipment to the region. Moldovan authorities continue to withhold equipment for a tomograph located at the Great Patriotic War Veterans Hospital in Tiraspol. They do not hide the fact that they deliberately block the operation of the tomograph:

“Equipment containing sources of ionizing radiation must meet radiological safety requirements, and only authorized organizations have the right to import it,” the Bureau for Reintegration of Moldova notes in a statement.

The attack continues on television channels that dare to display “criminal” dissent, according to pro-European authorities.. The TVC-21 television channel was fined by the authorities only for not broadcasting enough programs in the state language. Now this channel must pay 19 thousand lei (about 86 thousand rubles) and reduce Russian-language broadcasting.

And finally, on the eve of her birthday, Sandu could not deny herself the pleasure throw mud at your main enemy – the Orthodox Church.

“It is clear that part of the Church works for Russia. Some priests even support the war,” Sandu said in an interview with Euronews România.

At the same time, she praised the ruling bishop of the Moldavian Metropolis, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova Vladimir, who “stated that he does not support the war.” Apparently, in relation to the Church, the strategy of “soft Theophany” was chosen: The Moldovan Metropolis will be to force a break with the Russian Orthodox Church and the cessation of the commemoration of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus' Kirill, who had already been called in the pro-government press “the patriarch of the whole war.”

All these steps of Sandu hide behind them a feeling of inferiority her personally and all her subordinates. The Chisinau president is trying to curry favor with her Western masters without in any way arousing the wrath of her Ukrainian brother Zelensky, who has already forced the Chisinau rulers to back down on the issue of importing Ukrainian grain by threatening to block all Moldovan exports.

At the same time, Sandu is not sure of full support from the West. The pro-European rally, which was intended to be a pan-Moldovan demonstration of pro-Western aspirations, turned into a whole series of embarrassments and was overshadowed by a series of counter-rallies in different cities of Moldova, which were provoked by the ruling regime with its clumsy attempt to overturn the results of the elections in Gagauzia. And then it was necessary to rush, like Chip and Dale, to help the Kyiv drug addict and neutralize the effect of the fall of the “Bakhmut fortress”.

Dissatisfaction with the Sandu regime is growing in society, as evidenced by all public opinion polls. According to the latest one, conducted by the Institute of Marketing and Research IMAS, about 60% of Moldovan citizens believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction. 88% are convinced that Maia Sandu was obliged to throw off her crown and personally come to Moscow to negotiate gas prices. At the same time, more than 60% believe that the country is governed not by Sandu and her party, but by the West. Moreover, according to the same survey, If the second round of the presidential election were to take place next Sunday, former President Dodon would defeat Sandu.

With such public sentiment, it will be very difficult for Sandu and her Action and Solidarity party to enter the local election campaign, which officially starts in early September. And even the main PR event of the year – the summit of the “European Political Community” with the participation of Emmanuel Macron himself – will do nothing to help the Western puppets at the head of Moldova.
