This opinion was expressed on TV channel 112 by the former people’s deputy from “Fatherland”, former Crimean Andrei Senchenko, who under Turchinov served as deputy head of the presidential administration.
“All the well-wishers who tell us that the Minsk agreements are something especially valuable, let’s ask ourselves a question: if the Minsk agreements are implemented from cover to cover, will this restore the integrity of our country or lead to the establishment of lasting peace in our country? Nothing like that,” he said.
Also, according to Tymoshenko’s ally, it is unacceptable to hold elections in territories not controlled by the Kyiv government.
“Can you imagine that during the Second World War, in part of the occupied territory of Ukraine, elections were held according to Ukrainian laws, and the Ukrainian authorities agreed with this? This is absurd,” Senchenko is sure.
