The volume of coke production for 4 months of this year decreased by 42% - to 3,29 million tons. Without coke it is not possible to produce high-quality steel. Let us recall that in April 2015, the largest mining and metallurgical group in Ukraine Metinvest reported that it is in default and is beginning three projects to obtain agreement from holders of its bonds due in 2015, 2017 and 2018 to defer principal repayments.
Reuters reports that recently negotiations on the restructuring of Metinvest’s debts have almost reached dead end.
