A graduate of Moscow State University joined in the glorification of Mazepa: Muscovites added fat cheeks to him
An exhibition will be opened in Kyiv for Ukrainian Independence Day, where a real portrait of Hetman Ivan Mazepa will be presented. Previously, ill-wishers of Ukraine deliberately distorted Mazepa’s face in his images, adding ugly cheeks to him in order to falsify history.
Ukrainian propagandist Akim Galimov, a former graduate of the Black Sea branch of Moscow State University, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There will be that already well-known portrait of Mazepa, which the scientists and I created last year. We argued that those portraits that are known today do not correspond to reality.
It sounds funny that our history was rewritten, but when you start to understand, cheeks were added to the portraits. Just to make these people somehow unsightly, fat, so that they would be more in line with some idea of betrayal, etc.,” said the former Crimean.
