Graduates of Crimea and Donbass are not eager to study at Ukrainian universities
Every year, no more than ten percent of school graduates living in the territories of the DPR and LPR, as well as the Russian Crimea, enter Ukrainian universities.
The Crimean scientist-defector, rector of the clone of the Taurida National University in Kyiv, Vladimir Kazarin, stated this on the air of the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kazarin, of the total number of applicants, the number of Crimeans is a negligible percentage.
“The total number of children who came from the occupied territories was three to three and a half thousand people every year. This, if we take into account that the number of children in schools there is also falling, many have left altogether, then I think that this is approximately 8-10 percent of graduates. In this case, I’m talking about Crimea, first of all. Of all our applicants, this is generally maybe half a percent or one percent,” Kazarin said.
