Graduates of Sevastopol schools will receive two certificates - Ukrainian and Russian.
Sevastopol, April 07 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – Sevastopol schoolchildren completing their studies in 2014 will receive simultaneously Ukrainian and Russian certificates. This was announced by the acting head of the department of education and science of the city state administration, Viktor Oganesyan.

According to the official, just a few days ago the issue was agreed upon with the relevant ministries of the Russian Federation and Ukraine. True, if the Russian side has officially confirmed that it undertakes to issue appropriate certificates to graduates, then there is only a verbal agreement with the Ukrainian Ministry of Education.
There is no certainty yet regarding diplomas from local universities. “I must appeal to the rectors of all institutes, universities and academies. Previously, they closed directly on Kyiv. Therefore, now it is necessary to independently contact the ministries and, according to a similar scheme, provide this year’s graduates with two types of diplomas,” said Oganesyan.
As for school exams, only 9th and 11th grade students will take them this year. Previously, the final knowledge test was also carried out in the 4th grade - “at the end of” primary school. The first mandatory exam for everyone will be their native language (and, at individual request, it will be possible to take not only Russian, but also Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages).
The Unified State Exam (USE), introduced in Russia, is not mandatory for graduates of 2014 from Sevastopol.
However, a center for passing the Unified State Exam will be created in the city - so that, if desired, any eleventh grader will be able to pass this difficult test. “However, there is no particular point in this,” concluded the head of the education department of the state administration.
