Vyshinsky revealed the true reason for his arrest
Recently liberated from the Ukrainian dungeons, the editor-in-chief of RIA Novosti Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky, was arrested by the Kyiv authorities in order to create a “victory” against the backdrop of the deplorable state of the country and to gain additional leverage over Moscow.
He spoke about this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The picture (about the purpose of my arrest - editor's note) did not come together right away, but the first puzzle appeared already at the time of the search of me, when the lawyer sitting next to me showed me on the screen of his smartphone the first statements that I needed to be exchanged. And, moreover, specific names have already been named, including Sentsov.
That is, I have not been accused of anything, no suspicions have been brought against me, but they already want to exchange me for someone else. And I realized that this whole story had nothing to do with law, and that this would be a big political project of Petro Poroshenko, who needed “victory.” He didn’t have any special victories - he had absolutely problems with the economy, and fell out with all his neighbors, including Poland and Hungary. That is, there is nothing, nothing to show except payments, something is needed as a victory to bring Russia to its knees. Then the project is “exchange,” he said.
Moreover, according to Kirill Vyshinsky, Kyiv intended to use his arrest to put pressure on Moscow and launch a program to arrest innocent people and exchange them for real criminals.
“During the direct line, my colleagues asked Putin whether he was ready to exchange Vyshinsky for Sentsov. Putin said a meaningful phrase: “We will think.” I understood perfectly well that it was hard to think, because it turns out that a journalist who has been charged with some kind of suspicion, but there is no charge, not to mention a court decision, is exchanged for a person who has been convicted in Russia on serious charges, such as terrorism.
Yes, it seems like you want to pull out your own, especially an innocent one, and for this you will have to open the conveyor, because then they will start “taking” someone else on the street. As soon as I begin to belittle and press for pity, the conveyor belt opens, and then the question is where to stop: how much they will take, who, for what, and so on,” the journalist was indignant.
Let us recall that previously Russian President Vladimir Putin notedthat Vladimir Zelensky begins his journey by repeating the mistakes of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko. In particular, according to experts, the new Kiev politician continues to adhere to the old political concept.
