Vyshinsky demands that the Ukrainian authorities meet with the Russian consul
Arrested in Kyiv on charges of “treason,” the director of RIA Novosti-Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky, filed a statement with the investigator demanding that he exercise his right to a meeting with the Russian consul, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by Vyshinsky’s lawyer Andrei Domansky.
“He stated this on June 1 during his speech at the Court of Appeal of the Kherson region. In addition, he also wrote to diplomatic institutions. When he realized that they didn’t want to let the consul in to see him, he also turned to the investigator demanding that his right to meet with the consul be exercised,” he said.
So far, the lawyer noted, such a meeting with the Russian consul has not taken place.
Let us remind you that on May 17, the Kherson City Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 2 months for Vyshinsky, suspected of high treason. On June 1, the Court of Appeal of the Kherson Region upheld Vyshinsky’s arrest.
