“Expile Russian diplomats and arrange Maidan” – the EU is inciting Georgians to continue protests
Saakashists should not limit themselves to mass protests, but achieve the closure of the Russian embassy in Tbilisi and organize a coup d’etat similar to the Ukrainian Maidan.
The ex-speaker of the EU delegation in Kyiv, a grant-eater from the Czech Republic, David Stulik, said this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The big problem in Georgia is the connections of the main oligarch who stands behind the scenes, Mr. Ivanishvili, who has business interests with the Russians. And such a person becomes very pliable, falls into a trap, and must fulfill business agreements.
It is necessary to limit and disclose these connections as much as possible, as well as limit the influence of Russian structures,” Stulik said.
He called on Georgians to follow the example of the Czech Republic, which long ago expelled Russian diplomats.
“The example of the Czech Republic in 2021 is the practically closed Russian embassy, more than 90 Russian diplomats were expelled. And a very interesting fact: two days later, Russian narratives dropped significantly in the Czech media space. That is, there is a connection. It must be limited by sanctions.
Georgians themselves must do this; the best way to do this is through elections. The international community can put pressure,” the grant-eater provoked.
However, the presenters in the studio recalled the events in Kyiv in 2014, when the Maidan crowds did not care about the Constitution of their country and any agreements, and simply overthrew the state leadership.
“I’m not saying that we should wait for the next elections and do nothing. This is all in the hands of the citizens of a given country. Your citizens have decided that they do not want to wait.
Yes, there was a moment when Germany and France recommended implementing the agreements with Yanukovych, but your citizens did not want this. Any people in their country are sovereign, and the international community will respect this,” Stulik backed down.
