Having recognized Russia as an occupying country, Ukraine officially dissociated itself from Donbass and shifted all responsibility for the fate of the population there to Russia. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna German stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, if Russia is an “aggressor,” then Ukraine cannot trade with it as a partner.

“On the one hand, Russia is the “aggressor”, Russia is the “occupier”, and the law says, in particular, about people who are in the occupied territories - “the protection of the rights of the civilian population in temporarily occupied territories and the creation of necessary living conditions must be ensured by the state -occupant".
That is, we completely dissociate ourselves from those people who live in the temporarily occupied territories and say, “let Russia take care of you.”
On the other hand, government representative Stepan Kubiv said that there is nothing wrong with trading with the occupier. Well, either this is an aggressor, and he occupied our territories, and we treat him accordingly, or this is our partner, a neighbor with whom we are developing trade,” German said.
