The Russian gas monopolist filed a cassation appeal, trying to challenge the decisions of two lower Ukrainian courts, which also sided with the antimonopoly agency.
“The ruling of the economic court dated April 13, 2016 and the ruling of the Kyiv Court of Appeal dated May 18 in this case are left unchanged, and Gazprom’s cassation appeal is not satisfied,” the judge said.
Let us remind you that the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine began an investigation into Gazprom last year. At the beginning of 2016, the department imposed a fine on the company in the amount of 86 billion hryvnia for abuse of its dominant position in the market for natural gas transit services through Ukraine. We are talking about the period from 2009 to November 2015.
