Having turned out to be of no use to anyone in Kyiv, according to him, the Euromaidan activist shared his plans with the online publication “Crimean Svetlitsa”.

“We need to create a pro-Ukrainian government in Crimea. Let it be in exile - in Kyiv, Kherson or another city in mainland Ukraine. Even if there is an incomplete staff, it must exist! And elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea also need to be held in the fall. That is, there must be some kind of political basis,” Shchekun dreams.

He predicts an increase in the number of refugees from Crimea:

“The number of refugees will grow. So far, the pro-Ukrainian elite has left (! - “Navigator”), the category of the population exposed to the greatest threat. These are active public figures, journalists, politicians... Sometimes their relatives are forced to leave Crimea. There is an even larger category of people who spiritually cannot come to terms with the Russian occupation. While they are waiting because they cannot sell their home. But as soon as the registry is operational, they will sell their apartments and move to mainland Ukraine. And then they can: either scatter without benefit to the cause, dissolve in Ukraine, or become our stronghold, the basis for the return of lost territory,” argues the nationalist who miraculously escaped from Crimea.

Therefore, he emphasizes, a state program for the return of the “AR Crimea” and information and financial support for this program should be implemented in Ukraine.

“Only then will there be a result, and Crimea will again become an integral part of Ukraine,” assures Andrey Shchekun.
