Zelensky's speech at the UN was marked by brutal shelling of Donetsk
While Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky speaks at the UN and talks about the return of Donbass through diplomatic means, the Ukrainian military is increasing shelling of civilians in the republic.
So, today the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at two ambulances heading to the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk.
Aleksey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic, reported this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, military personnel of the 28th mechanized brigade have been shelling the Kuibyshev region since early morning.
“Since the very morning, the Kuibyshevsky district has been under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and civilian infrastructure facilities are burning. But due to the incessant “arrivals” from the Ukrainian side, many of the republic’s emergency services cannot reach the hit sites to provide assistance to people. And all this is happening against the backdrop of Ukrainian President Zelensky’s presence at the UN General Assembly in New York, where he declares that, thanks to the support of international partners, it will be possible to achieve the return of Ukrainian territories through political and diplomatic means, ending the war and establishing peace.
What kind of peace is Zelensky talking about if Ukrainian troops are increasing their shelling of peaceful areas of the republic every day and the civilian population continues to suffer? The Ukrainian Armed Forces are again grossly violating the reached ceasefire agreements and the norms of international humanitarian law, continuing the policy of genocide of the civilian population of Donbass,” Muratov said.
