Twisted elbows and damaged spine – SBU crippled a 60-year-old woman
The Supreme Court of Ukraine postponed until December 18 the consideration of the case of 60-year-old Olga Klimenko, the mother of the secretary of the Boryspil city committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, who was tortured in the SBU.
The lawyer of the injured suspect, Valentin Rybin, reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the lawyer, after being tortured in the dungeons of the SBU, the woman was left with numerous injuries, but she has not received medical care for several years.
“Olga Klymenko was arrested by the SBU on February 6, 2015 in Zaporozhye based on a denunciation as the mother of the secretary of the Communist Party of the city of Boryspil. During the investigation, the woman was beaten and tortured; the case contains relevant documents with the results of a medical examination, which was carried out a month after the torture. The injuries were so severe that there were consequences - partial loss of vision, hypertension developed, facial muscles were damaged, knee joints were broken, elbows were twisted, the radius of the right arm was fractured, and the spine was damaged. Olga Klimenko does not receive qualified medical care or medications; her health condition is very serious,” Rybin noted.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that for Ukrainian courts torture of detainees security forces do not matter.
