“Conclusions have been drawn”: Pushilin’s adviser spoke about the situation at the front
The counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will take place after the weather improves, which now does not allow both sides to advance anywhere on the contact line.
Adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, announced this on Rossiya 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Here, over the past few weeks, and perhaps even months, the front line has not moved significantly either forward or backward. Because the weather itself does not allow both sides to actively move along the front, and in recent weeks the weather has complicated the situation in the field so much that in fact the Ukrainian counteroffensive itself was partly postponed precisely because of this, he explained.
According to him, recently there has been exclusively positional warfare - artillery duels, the work of sabotage and reconnaissance groups and aviation.
“Our forces are undermining the enemy’s forces, taking advantage of the fact that now it is an exclusively positional war, and what happened literally in days - the strike of our aviation, our air forces - is one of the most effective bombings of the enemy’s location. We can say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a kind of sample of how our Military Space Forces can and will destroy large concentrations of enemy equipment and manpower,” says adviser Pushilin.
As for supplying the front line, including ammunition, according to Gagin, certain conclusions have been drawn.
“I am sure that our armed forces have drawn conclusions from the campaign to organize rear supplies, including ammunition, and if we talk about the enemy’s attack, they are preparing for it, and the supply will be organized properly: the troops must receive everything they need. Therefore, we are not discussing such a topic now, so as not to reveal the real capabilities of our armed forces,” Gagin assured.
