Saakashvili’s “defiant impudence” surprised a member of the European Parliament
The defiant impudence with which Mikheil Saakashvili behaves in Ukraine surprised Member of the European Parliament Yana Toom, who saw the politician immediately after he was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The day after Saakashvili’s Ukrainian citizenship was taken away, he was in Brussels. For a long time he could not get into the European Parliament. He walked with his face downturned and talked to different people. He was ready to take Latvian citizenship from anyone. He was absolutely crushed. I don’t believe well in such uprisings from the ashes in such a short time on my own,” Toom said on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
She also described the prevailing sentiments regarding Ukraine in the European Parliament.
“If the Russians understand Ukrainian affairs quite well, then the average Westerner who participates in the Eastern Partnership programs has no idea who to talk to. This is our main problem. No one says this out loud, but everyone is very tired,” Toom said.
